Microsoft was guaranteed a splash with the new form factors in with the Surface hardware - notably the Surface Book and Surface Studio - but it’s the Surface Laptop, arguably the ‘mainstream’ device in the portfolio, that had the easiest job at launch. Now the Surface Laptop 2 is here, is iteration enough to sell the Windows 10 powered laptop? Unlike the Surface Laptop, the Surface Laptop 2 ships with Windows 10 Home. Unfortunately the Surface Laptop 2 does not address all of the problems highlighted in the reviews of the first model. For those who want a portable Surface that pushes the design limits, both the Surface Pro 6 (as an ultraportable) and the Surface Book 2 (as a ‘Pro’ laptop) are available.
