BJP MP and former cine artiste Suresh Gopi visited Devika, the armless girl who secured A+ in all subjects in the SSLC examinations, at her house at Olipramkadavu near Calicut University on Saturday. Mr. Gopi stood in awe as Devika explained how she took the SSLC examinations with her toes. The neighbours gathered at Devika’s house to take a close look at their star. Mr. Gopi reached Devika’s house along with BJP Malappuram district president K. Ramachandran, State council member Peethambaran Palat, media convener Madathil Ravi, and Vallikkunnu constituency president P. Jayani Das. Before reaching Olipramkadavu, Mr. Gopi had visited the Hanumankavu temple at Alathiyur and the Bhagavathi temple at Kadampuzha, and made offerings there.
