A Cromwell woman’s $200,000 claim for humiliation and injury after her lawnmower hit a stone on the grass verge outside her home has been rejected by New Zealand’s highest court. Rachelle then applied for leave to appeal directly to the Supreme Court. (Video first published in November 2017)She then sought a time extension to appeal the District Court decision to the Court of Appeal, which was rejected. Her latest application to the Supreme Court was to appeal the Court of Appeal decision. The Supreme Court found there was no question of general or public importance and nothing raised by Rachelle that indicated a miscarriage of justice.
