However, ICC chairman Shashank Manohar who was previously BCCI president before Thakur declined the request and wanted the board to give the same in writing. Subramanium also added that BCCI denied the fact that Thakur ever asked for a letter from ICC and instead said that Richardson was 'confused'. It is submitted that no such letter or oral request was ever made to the said gentlemen either by the BCCI President or any office bearer of the BCCI.
