The Supreme Court of Canada will not hear an appeal from doctors who want to keep names of top OHIP billers secret. The doctors then appealed the privacy commissioner’s order to the Ontario Divisional Court, but lost. They tried again with the Ontario Court of Appeal, but lost there too. The Ontario Court of Appeal last year rejected all of the doctors’ arguments in a unanimous ruling. And Ontario already makes public the names and salaries of public sector employees earning more than $100,000 in its annual Sunshine List.
