WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court on Thursday declined to clear the way for hundreds of thousands of Floridians with felony convictions to become eligible to vote. The court issued a brief written order that denied immediate enforcement of a May trial-court ruling that struck down parts of a state law requiring people with felony convictions to pay off certain financial obligations before regaining their voting rights.
