Goldin knew that drinking water was the best thing for her, but it tasted bland. In 2005, she brought the water to market and named it "Hint" for the hint of fruit flavor it had. When retailers' distributors had problems delivering their orders, Hint hired a temporary, ad hoc network of third-party truckers to make deliveries. All three SGC partners—Amy Wildstein, Kay Koplovitz, and Lori Wachs—called to find out how Hint was faring during the pandemic. Goldin had just gotten off a frustrating call negotiating terms to raise a growth round of funding.
