Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has rejected calls for the removal of presidential term limits. Mutua said lack of term limits would turn Kenya into a dictatorship. "Maendeleo Chap Chap does not support any proposal to remove presidential term limits or that of governors," Mutua said. "Now that Kalonzo is not in the running, he should support me who now represents the Eastern region," Mutua said. Mutua (Machakos), Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Charity Ngilu (Kitui) snubbed a convention for leaders from the region held on Friday.
