DETROIT – Reinforcements for the Rangers’ beleaguered bullpen have arrived. The Rangers optioned lefty Kolby Allard, who pitched five innings of relief Tuesday, was optioned back to Triple-A Round Rock. He’d been sidelined for nine days, though he said he’d only had “flu-like” symptoms for two days last week. The bullpen has struggled lately, allowing 17 earned runs over 33 innings in the Rangers’ last six games. He’d pitched two innings early in the rehab stint and earlier this week went on back-to-back days.
