The Suns did more than get their top choice in coach Monty Williams. They also apparently received a commitment from owner Robert Sarver to butt out. Williams, too, seems to know what he is getting into, as his questions to Sarver and general manager James Jones made clear during the interview process. He asked for the ability to coach this team, coach them hard and to be who he is. Jones said Williams stressed his ability to get the most out of young players, and the Suns are nothing if not young.
