The National List slots in Parliament occupied by United National Party (UNP) Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe and Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera on behalf of the Our People’s Power Party (OPPP) have been challenged before the Supreme Court (SC). The FR petition was filed by Vinivida Peramuna General Secretary Nagananda Kodituwakku. According to Kodituwakku, the parties have failed to fill the two National List MP slots allocated to their respective political parties by the EC.
