Sunderland fans need very little this Christmas. In late November, a glance at the fixtures leading up to Christmas was on paper slightly intimidating. Chelsea, Liverpool, Bournemouth, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Brighton loomed in the headlights but why worry. Sunderland cruised through with wins over Chelsea, Bournemouth and Newcastle and draws at Liverpool and Brighton. So Christmas this year, will on the whole, be one in which to wallow and enjoy for Sunderland fans!
