A Christchurch man accused of "eco-terrorism" for ordering the pruning of a protected pine tree has been fined by the city council after a weeks' long investigation. The Christchurch City Council issued Sumner building owner John Visser with an infringement notice for $300 last Monday in relation to the pruning of a Norfolk pine.
