Motorists across Britain were stuck in traffic jams today as five million cars hit the roads on 'Frantic Friday' after schools broke up for the summer holidays. The traffic chaos will continue through the weekend, with another five million vehicles on the road tomorrow and a further three million on Sunday. No trains will run in and out of London Liverpool Street on Saturday, while engineering work will take place between Barnes and Feltham in South West London. Airports around London expect a very busy weekend, with two million passengers flying between today and Sunday, the Association of British Travel Agents said. Abta chief executive Mark Tanzer said: 'Thousands of families will be jetting off this weekend as the majority of schools in the UK start their summer break.
