Summary Proceedings Court rules Tiran and Sanafir agreement is intact

The Abdeen Summary Proceedings Court on Sunday declared that its ruling from last year -- stipulating that the agreement is intact -- should continue, despite the Supreme Administrative Court ruling nullifying this deal. The case was filed by Farahat in August before the Supreme Administrative Court ruling in January which nullified the agreement. At that time, he was challenging the Administrative Court rulings which also nullified the agreement. The Administrative Court nullified this on the basis that there was insufficient evidence of the Saudi claims. Farahat claims the deal between Egypt and Saudi Arabia was a sovereign act, and one the Administrative Court has no jurisdiction over.
