Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota on Thursday said he will be leaving his job one day after he was indicted on federal obstruction of justice charges in New York. “I will be leaving my post as District Attorney at the earliest opportunity after the resolution of normal administrative matters relating to my retirement,” Mr. Spota said in a news release.
