In a statement issued Thursday the ministry said, President Sisi welcomed the ambassador at the beginning of his tenure, wishing him success in his new mission. Al Haj, is the first Sudanese ambassador to Egypt to be appointed following December revolution, the statement said. The ministry voiced hope that the upcoming period will see increased arduous efforts to strengthen strategic bilateral ties, according to the statement.
