Sudan has formally accused Ethiopia of meddling in its internal affairs. In a recent statement, the Sudanese Foreign Ministry alleged that Ethiopia has allowed the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) to launch drone attacks against Sudan from its territory. The ministry condemned Addis Ababa’s alleged actions as an “act of aggression” and asserted Sudan’s right to respond in any way it deems fit. Khartoum’s accusation is the first of its kind against Addis Ababa in three years of civil war, and it threatens to escalate tensions in a region riven by conflict. While Addis Ababa has not commented on the allegations, an earlier Reuters report revealed that Ethiopia was hosting a secret training camp for RSF forces.
