KHARTOUM: Sudan’s army force leader General ‘Abdel Fattah al-Burhan’ on February 12, Saturday dismissed Western threats of boycotts and stated that the conferences between the Israel and Sudan officials were part of the security cooperation instead of political nature. Since the coup, Burhan stated that Washington was obtaining incorrect information in his first interview on state television. According to him, the military met with opposition committees directing the protest movement, and they agreed on many points. Before the coup, the military had taken some steps to reach an agreement at the end of 2020 to improve their relations with Israel. Since the coup, Burhan said conferences between Israeli and Sudanese officials had not been high-level‮ ‬and only involved the security and intelligence device.
