Subcontrators have raised concerns about the Nido store being inadequately finished off. Key creditors of the failed building company behind Auckland superstore Nido have written to Auckland Council raising concerns about lack of sign-off and safety. An Auckland Council spokeswoman said it stood by its consent but was willing to look into any issues that were raised. Kumar did not return calls but Nido marketing manager Akshita Nama said there were no public safety concerns with the building and that it would be illegal to open otherwise. Supplied Vinod Kumar launched the massive furniture and homewares store Nido in June.
