What if the subs deal turns into a new common ground that allows the moderate, even existing supporters of the government, to join forces with the protesters, who are currently seen by some as too radical? What is even more astonishing is despite the uproar, the navy still has the gall to defend its planned purchase. The subs deal with be reexamined by a House committee again next week.
