I walk past Briscoes Homeware, one of 46 blue and yellow sheds across New Zealand. During the lockdown the car park has become an urban park, with people exercising, skateboarding and even playing tennis on the empty expanse. Lee Kenny/Stuff A building project on Manchester St remains on hold during the lockdown. There are few cars as I turn onto Manchester St, one of the main arterial roads through the city centre. It's not uncommon to see sex workers on Manchester St, even during daylight hours, but not since Covid-19 arrived.
