Study on rural economic growth stopped

A government order issued for studying the economic growth of rural households, that benefited from sheep distribution programme, but kept in abeyance has triggered wild speculation. The Government commissioned the study by Centre for Economic and Social Studies but it stopped in the tracks. Barring tickets, only miscellaneous print orders that would cost less if outsourced by the corporation were handled by the press. Narasimhan and a delegation of officials from 18 countries visited the project work. The media coverage has been so much that a forum of retired engineers went on to say recently that Kaleshwaram project work had become ‘a new tourist destination in Telangana’.
