A new study by lendingtree.com says Wyoming has the highest percentage of divorced people of any U.S. state. The survey says 13.3 percent of Wyoming residents over the age of 15 were divorced as of 2022. The Cowboy State was followed by West Virginia at 13.2 percent and Nevada a 13.1 percent. The percentage of the population that was divorced decreased the most in Idaho (6.7%), Washington (5.3%) and Indiana (4.8%). According to forbes.com, roughly half of first marriages in the United States end in divorce.
