Academic and commercial activities were put on hold as the students of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa in Oyo took to the streets over repeated cases of armed robbery, rape and other vices in Ibarapa local government area of the State. The former Commissioner for Works, Bolaji Kareem had in a letter intimated the state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde of the development in the area. The letter read, “Armed robbers have taken over Eruwa forcefully breaking into houses especially at night, robbing and raping. “The Government should kindly implore security agents to act swiftly before it spreads to other parts of Oyo State. Special regards to His Excellency Executive Governor of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for the positive revolution in Iseyin, Oke Ogun and entire Oyo.
