more-inThe striking students are not opposing the political affiliation of Principal of Kerala Law Academy Law College Lakshmi Nair but her actions against them, said Kanam Rajendran, State Secretary of the Communist Party of India. Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, Mr. Rajendran said the students were united in their demand for the removal of Ms. Nair. The CPI need not intervene in the issue, as the government was looking into the various developments at the college, he said. He said the country was witnessing the presence of Ministers, who claimed that speaking against the Prime Minister was equivalent to speaking against the country. K. S. Radhakrishnan, former chairman of the Kerala Public Service Commission, delivered the memorial address.
