Student stabbed in Dhaka University’s Salimullah Hall


A Dhaka University (DU) honours final year student has been stabbed by a former student in the Salimullah Muslim (SM) Hall cafeteria over an argument. Eyewitnesses say the assailant is a former student of the philosophy department and Chhatra League leader, Abu Jubair Talha, who stayed in Room 166. Other witnesses say Talha and his younger brother left the hall after the incident. Prof Mahbubul said: “The probe committee has made a report that has already been sent to the vice-chancellor and the proctor. Acting proctor M Amzad Ali told the Dhaka Tribune said: “Punitive action will be taken against Abu Jubair Talha who is the main guilty party.”
