(File)A teenage student suffered leg injuries when the bicycle he was riding collided with a car on a rural road near Glenavy on Wednesday. A police spokeswoman said the collision was at the gateway of a property on Tawai Ikawai Rd, in South Canterbury, about 4.25pm. The teenager was a student at St Kevin's College Oamaru, principal Paul Olsen confirmed on Friday. "The college and Rural Support South Canterbury are actively supporting the family of the hospitalised student," Olsen said in a statement.
