A Junior Secondary Student, Esther Akinrinola, of St. Andrew Grammar school, Ondo town, in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo state, reportedly died when a part of the school building collapsed on Friday. The 14-year-old deceased who was the only victim was said to have died when the building collapsed directly on her head, resulting in her death. It was gathered that the school authorities had envisaged that the building might collapse and moved the students out of the building but most students always stay around the building. ALSO READ:A source within the school said, ” They were playing inside the abandoned building when some blocks fell from the walls of the building and landed on the deceased head. ” When the building has been abandoned why did they allow the pupils to be playing around it, they should have pulled it down.
