Student Loan Fund remittance due April 16The Student Loan Fund (SLF) has asked employers who began deducting loan repayments from employees' salaries in March to remit the funds via the e-PaySLF system by April 16. Anchalee Phuriwittayawat, acting manager of the fund, said letters had been sent to more than 80,000 employers with approximately 120,000 SLF borrowers on their payrolls, requiring them to begin monthly deductions in March. The fund has also identified more than 9,900 additional employers with SLF borrowers as employees. Salary deductions and repayments for this group are scheduled to begin in April and May, the acting manager of the fund said. Ms Anchalee said timely remittances are essential to sustaining the revolving student loan fund, which is financed by money from the public, and to ensure continued support for future students seeking educational opportunities.
