It’s thanks to Tomas Plekanec that Victor Mete now feels guilty any time he eats a french fry. To make it an even bigger celebration, Plekanec scored the Canadiens’ second goal in the first period. Mete celebrated his third birthday two weeks before the Canadiens selected Plekanec in the third round (71st overall) at the 2001 NHL Draft. To me, he’s been really good. He wanted to be a player and he took all the appropriate measures to become a real good player in the NHL.
