Nui Beach (not to be confused with Ya Nui Beach) is north of Nai Harn Beach. Freedom Beach is north of the beach in front of Le Meridien Hotel. The investigation followed officials having received many complaints that tourists were having to pay entrance fees at Nui and Freedom beaches. They say the encroached-upon area in Karon forms part of about 700 rai of land where there are many beautiful nature locations. The structures on Nui and Freedom beaches, on encroached-upon land, are to be demolished.
