Strong southerly to south-easterly winds with speeds exceeding 25 knots are expected over some parts of the Coast, the Northeast, the Northwest and the South-eastern lowlands. The Kenya Meteorological Department said rainfall is expected over few to several areas in the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the South and Central Rift Valley, the Northwest and the Highlands East of the Rift Valley. “There will be isolated storms over some parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley and Northwest. The five-day weather forecast showed that cold and cloudy conditions, accompanied by occasional light rains, are expected over Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi counties. The Coastal strip is likely to receive below-average rainfall, while the rest of the country is expected to remain generally dry.
