Whether in political cooperation or Malay unity, I have been consistent in efforts to unite Malaysians. While this led to the founding of Umno, he realised an independent Malaysia would not be able to succeed based only on Malay unity. Non-Malays must not be worried, as we understand that Malay unity cannot come at the expense of the unity of Malaysians. Good sense and sincerity must prevail. Always remember, Malaysia deserves better.
