The accident happened at 6.15am on Udon Thani-bound Mittraparp road in Tambon None Sung in Muang district. Chanisara Kongsombat, 31, died behind the wheel with severe head injuries. A witness told police he had seen a car driving fast and plunging into a pond without slowing down. Noosamai Kongsombat, 56, said her daughter, Chanisara, had to see doctors regularly after she had suffered a stroke, adding that she had awoken at 4am to drive to see her doctor on her own because she has divorced.
