Stranded passenger stabs express bus driver for driving off without him

KANGAR: In a fit of anger, a passenger of an express bus, left behind when he stepped out of the bus to answer the call of nature in Alor Star, boarded a taxi, chased after the bus and attacked the bus driver with a knife the moment the bus pulled in at the bus terminal here. Kangar district police chief Superintendent Wari Kiew said the 33-year-old express bus driver was ferrying 17 passengers from Larkin, Johor to Perlis prior to the incident. He said based on initial investigation, the bus driver Mohd Fakhri Yahya had pulled over at the Shahab Perdana bus terminal in Alor Star, where one of the passengers had gone down from the bus to use the restroom. Furious that he was abandoned by the driver, the man boarded a taxi and told the driver to tail the bus. "As soon as the bus arrived at the Kangar bus terminal, the man barged into the bus and stabbed the driver with a knife in front of the other passengers before fleeing the scene.
