All over Italy, there will be no place to go for dinner, except in la cucina della Mamma, Mom’s kitchen. Tunisia is where I was coming in the first place, and was derailed by successive cancellations of my connecting flights. In Tunisia the travel situation is similar: all flights in and out of the country are shut down, so we’re all effectively stranded. Global pandemic aside, Tunisia is a warm and welcoming place with lots of history and good facilities for the visitor. As the only guest at the inn, I fortunately have free rein of the place — and a wonderful place it is!
