Storm that ravaged U.S. west takes aim at Northeast

Rescuers are combing the area of Tonto Basin, about 80 km northeast of Phoenix, with helicopters, drones, boats and dogs. As the storm shifts east, flight delays and cancellations are continuing to pile up — disrupting travellers heading home after Thanksgiving. Forecasters said a new storm is expected to bring about a metre of mountain snow, rain and gusty winds to California. As Sunday’s storm approached, hardy New Englanders made sure to prepare, even if they weren’t really that worried. Boston was projected to get between five and 10 cm of snow, but Mayor Marty Walsh says schools were to be open Monday.
