British Airways flight BA276 was due to arrive at the UK's busiest airport at around 12.30pm, the height of Storm Erik's rage. But dramatic footage shows it had to abort the landing in the strong winds, which will continue to batter much of the UK tomorrow. "The aircraft circled the airport and landed safely," a spokesman for British Airways told the broadcaster. Storm Erik will again batter the country tomorrow as gales are expected to hit 70mph. The Dartford Crossing and Severn Bridge were shut for a time, with more travel disruption and power cuts expected tomorrow.
