Garissa Women Representative Annab Gure yesterday hit out at those tarnishing her name on social media. While Gure did not hint at taking leagal action against those behind the defamation, she told the Star that she had reported the matter to police. “All I can tell you for now is that I have already reported the matter to the relevant authorities,” Gure said on phone. Gure won the Garissa Women Representative race in last month’s general election on a Jubilee ticket. She garnered 39,895 votes to beat five rivals including her predecessor Shukran Gure on Wiper who got 33,259.
