Even as the standard gauge railway (SGR) is commissioned by the President tomorrow, vandalism has been reported in some sections. Passengers and crew are in danger of suddenly finding a gap on a section of the railway, uprooted by unscrupulous metal traders. * * *The SGR was damaged in Mariakani on Friday, when about eight bars were removed, just days to the launch by the President. The amount of money this railway cost Kenyans prevents any citizen to even think of vandalising it. * * *The recent vandalism of the SGR at Mariakani, the upsurge in terror attacks and the looming doctor’s strike is not a coincidence.
