Kuppet has condemned the interdiction of several teachers following student unrest. The union has issued a seven-day ultimatum to Teachers Service Commission CEO Nancy Macharia to revoke the interdiction letters or they will sue. Misori said CS Fred Matiangi and Macharia have failed. Fifteen schools have been set on fire in recent months. Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers secretary general Akello Misori yesterday said, “The mass transfer and interdiction of teachers without following due process is uncalled for and shows impunity.”He said the crisis in the education sector cannot be resolved through “drama and theatrics”, but rather through national dialogue.
