An hours-long police chase with a stolen vehicle has ended with two arrests, police said in release Wednesday evening. Calgary police received a report from RCMP that a stolen vehicle had entered city limits at about 10:30 a.m. Police were forced to quash rumours of an armed gunman carjacking people in the downtown core was related to the incident. The rumours were circulating among some downtown businesses in an email chain and on social media, but police said those rumours are inaccurate. The driver was reportedly speeding throughout the city but there are no reports of injuries.
