Stoke Green captain Gagan Singh explained his side had a ‘bad day at the office’ as they slipped to an eight-wicket defeat to visitors Eversley on Saturday. Singh admitted Eversley had played the better cricket as the hosts fell to a one-sided defeat to slip down to sixth in TVL League Division 1. Reflecting on the early season stumble, Singh said: “It was a bad day at the office for us. They (Eversley) played the better cricket and definitely deserved to win. “It was a poor batting display from us, and I hope we learn from this and perform better in our upcoming games.
