The National Seed Association of India said it would write to the Department of Agriculture to immediately scrap trait fee on Bollgard II cotton seeds. The project is a joint venture between GMR group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation. The attachment follows complaints by "a number of depositors" against NSEL, the state government note dated April 4 said. The share price has risen from Rs 775 apiece to Rs 1,335 apiece. Carlyle had invested ?1,600 crore in February 2015 for a 49 per cent stake in the unlisted company.
