OIL: Benchmark U.S. crude fell $1.74 to $45.06 per barrel in New York while Brent crude, a standard for international oil prices, lost $2.09 to $46.38 a barrel in London. The Standard & Poor’s 500 fell 3 points, or 0.2 percent, to 2,149.
