NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Thursday.Shares of MPhasis(up 2.75 per cent), Mindtree(up 2.33 per cent), Infosys(up 1.03 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 0.98 per cent) and L&T Technology(up 0.6 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.On the other hand, Wipro(down 6.02 per cent), HCL Technologies(down 1.32 per cent), Coforge(down 1.07 per cent), Tech Mahindra(down 0.67 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 0.53 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.The Nifty IT index closed 0.01 per cent up at 38607.0.Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 45.45 points at 18257.8, while the BSE Sensex stood up 85.26 points at 61235.3.Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 ended in the green, while 14 closed in the red.Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and Tata Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.Shares of One Point One Soluti, Coastal Corp, Superhouse Ltd, Univastu India and The Anup Engg hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vinny Overseas, Vivo Collaboration Solutions Ltd., PayTM, Uniinfo Telecom Serv and Spandana Sphoorty hit their fresh 52-week lows.
