A Belgian cyclist has been taken to hospital with suspected head injuries along with up to 11 others after a serious crash involving a motorbike during the Tour of Belgium. In February’s Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne race, Broeckx collided with a medical bike. They added that he would be transferred to a hospital in Aachen for tests, as race organisers confirmed that day’s racing had been cancelled following the crash. Jesper Asselnan, Tony Hurel, Pieter Jacobs, Loic Chetout, Broeckx and Frederik Frison were all reportedly involved in the crash. Stig Broeckx, the 26-year-old professional who rides for Lotto-Soudal, was involved in the collision on the third stage of the race on Saturday, his team confirmed.
