Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Steven Craig Owen, a 53-year-old white man, was shot and killed Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the 3200 block of West Avenue J-7 in Lancaster, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s records. The man fled through the back, where he hopped a wall into another backyard and was confronted by deputies from Lancaster station, according to a department news release. “The tragedy of a deputy sheriff such as Sgt.
