Sterling soars as the race for "Number 10" appears to favour Boris Johnson. Sterling jumped above $1.30 to hit 1.311 as it gained 0.89%, its highest level since May. If one takes a rolling average of opinion polls, the Conservatives have an 11% lead over the Labour party. They have made gains at the expense of the Brexit Party and Labour has gained by taking remain voters support away from the Liberal Democrats. The U.K. economy expanded 0.3% on average in the three months to September 2019, following a downwardly revised 0.2% growth in the previous period and below market expectations of 0.4%.
